A board-certified radiation oncologist with over two decades of experience in clinical practice, academic teaching, and research, Dr. Laurie Cuttino serves as an associate professor in the department of radiation oncology at Virginia Commonwealth University and treats patients at Henrico Doctors' Hospital in Richmond. Dr. Laurie Cuttino has received additional training in brachytherapy and has clinical experience in stereotactic ablative radiotherapy (SABR) and stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) for a range of cancers, including those affecting the brain, spine, liver, and lungs.
Dr. Cuttino earned her medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University - Medical College of Virginia, where she also completed her residency and served as chief resident. Her postgraduate training includes rotations and fellowships at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and a prostate brachytherapy fellowship in Seattle. Prior to her medical career, she completed undergraduate studies in chemical engineering and physics at Clemson University and held engineering positions at Milliken & Company, AlliedSignal Corporation, and The Haskell Company.
Dr. Laurie Cuttino has been recognized in various physician rankings, including regional and national lists. She holds memberships in organizations such as the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO), the American Brachytherapy Society, and the American College of Radiology. Outside of her medical work, she contributes to charitable efforts through the World Pediatric Project and is involved with Impact 100 Richmond.
